Main Characteristics
European Burmese are medium sized, elegant cats. They have a more well muscled, angular shape than the american burmese. Their short, fine, glossy coat can be brown, blue, chocolate, lilac, red, cream, seal tortie, blue tortie, chocolate tortie, or lilac tortie in colour.

Interesting Facts
The American Burmese and the European Burmese are subgroups of the Burmese breed of cat. Most cat registries do not recognize the two subgroups and they are defined under the Burmese breed standard.
