Main Characteristics
Chow Chows are short, compact dogs and they have a unique stilted gait. They can either have rough or smooth coats that are thick and can be black, blue, fawn, red, cream or white in colour. They also have a distinctive blue/black tongue.
Temperament
Chow Chows are loyal and independent. Although they have a cuddly appearance, they are a one-person dog and can have a tendency to snap.
