Crested Guinea Pigs have one rosette on top of their head which gives them their name.
Some cavy clubs recognize two groups of Crested Guinea Pig; the American Crested and the English Crested. The American Crested must have a crest that has a contrasting colour to the rest of the body (usually white). The English Crested has a crest that is the same colour as the rest of their body.
