Andean Cats have a body length between 58 and 64 cms (23 - 25 inches), a tail length between 41 and 48 cms (16 - 19 inches) and they weigh approximately 4 kgs (8.75 lbs).

They are small, sturdy cats that are grey/brown in colour with vertical stripes on their upper back, spots on their sides and bands around their tail and legs.

Habitat

Andean Cats can be found on the dry, rocky slopes of the Andes Mountains at altitudes of 3,000 m (9,840 ft).

Diet

Andean Cats feed on rodents, reptiles, birds and rabbits.
