Main Characteristics

Short-Tailed Mongoose have a body length between 35 and 40 cms (13.8 - 15.7 inches), a tail length of approximately 25 cms (9.8 inches) and they weigh around 1.4 kgs (3 lbs). They are brown to black in colour with black legs.

Habitat

Short-Tailed Mongoose can be found in the rainforests of south east Asia. They usually inhabit areas close to a water source.
