Main Characteristics
Palawan Stink Badgers have a body length between 32 and 46 cms (12.5 - 18 inches), a tail length between 1na d 4 cms (0.4 - 1.5 inches) and they weigh approximately 3 kgs (6.5 lbs).
They have a stocky build and short, muscular legs. Their face is long and they have a pointed, mobile snout. They are dark brown in colour with a pale yellowish/brown patch on the top of their head that fades into a stripe down their back to the shoulders.
Palawan Stink Badgers have well developed anal glands from which they secret a foul smelling secretion when threatened.
Habitat
Palawan Stink Badgers can be found on the islands of Palawan and Busuanga in the Philippines.
Interesting Facts
Little is known about the behaviour of Palawan Stink Badgers, it is assumed that it is similar to that of javan stink badgers.
