(October 31, 2009) A female Sperm Whale has been caught on camera with the remains of a 30 ft (9 m) giant squid in her mouth.

This picture and others were taken while she was swimming with her calf near Japan's Bonin Islands in the north western Pacific.

This sensational image offers the rare proof that sperm whales have a taste for giant squid.
