
(December 13, 2009) Scientists say that a pain drug used to treat livestock can be lethal to the vultures that eat the carcasses of dead animals.
Ketoprofen is an anti-inflammatory drug that is used to treat cattle in India. It is the proposed replacement to Diclofenac, which is thought to have brought some species of asian vulture to the brink of extinction.
