
(March 05, 2010) A new study hints that the usually vegetarian Gorilla might succumb to cravings for its evolutionary cousins.
Some gorillas that are kept in zoos are known to eat meat, but gorillas that live in the wild only eat vegetation, fruits and the odd insect. However, a recent study has discovered DNA from monkeys and small forest antelopes known as duikers, in the faeces of wild African Mountain Gorillas in Loango National Park in Gabon.
