(January 13, 2010) A newly bred see through goldfish may reduce the need for dissections.

Scientists at the Mie University and Nagoya University in Japan bred the translucent fish by crossbreeding adults that had defects in the gene that regulates their colour.

The offspring produced has plainly visible organs, said a researcher from Mie University.
