
(November 26, 2009) Researchers have found that the last remaining population of Siberian Tigers has severely declined.
The Siberian Tiger Monitoring Programme, which is coordinated by the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), carried out the research and its report says that the number of tigers have shown a "declining trend" over the last four years and that the latest assessment counted just 56 individuals.
