Turtles are "Right-Flippered"


Leatherback Turtle

(November 14, 2009) Scientists have studied a population of Leatherback turtles and they have discovered that they tend to be the reptilian version of "right-handed".

It was recorded that when laying eggs, the turtles preferred to use their right flipper rather than their left, this is the first time that a species of turtle has shown preference for one limb over the other.
