Papollomas are small warts that are found in clusters on the lips and muzzle of young horses. Occasionally they can also be found on the ears and eye lids. They are unsightly but they rarely bother the horse.
Causes
Papillomas are caused by a virus and they will disappear spontaneously.
Treatment
The only treatment that papillomas require is the cleaning of the skin if one is accidentally knocked and bleeds.
