Baileys Aqua-Aide Electrolyte

When horses sweat they lose vital water and body salts (electrolytes) which can result in dehydration, decreased performance, fatigue, muscle cramping and other problems. Maintaining fluid and electrolyte balance is essential for optimum performance and Baileys Aqua-Aide Electrolyte contains key salts, including potassium chloride and magnesium, as well as the commonly used sodium chloride, plus sufficient dextrose for optimum absorption.

It is designed to be administered according to length and intensity of work done and can be fed ad hoc, on an ongoing basis or before, during and after competition days.

Key Features

Baileys Aqua-Aide Electrolyte provide essential salts plus dextrose that is readily absorbed by the body.

Tub Size

Baileys Aqua-Aide Electrolyte is available in 2 and 9 kg tubs.

Feeding

When introducing Aqua-Aide in drinking water for the first time, provide a source of water without electrolyte as some horses may take time to adapt to drinking the electrolyte solution.

When administering Aqua-Aide in the feed, ensure the feed is wet and sloppy and that the horse has access to plenty of fresh drinking water.

Note: Electrolytes given with insufficient fluid could increase the risk of dehydration.
