Main Characteristics
Peruvians have long hair that grows forward over their face and is of even length all over their body. They have both an undercoat and a topcoat, with their topcoat growing to approximately 50 cms (20 inches) in length.
Because of their long coat, caring for a Peruvian can be more difficult. Those that are kept as pets usually have their hair regularly trimmed and those that are shown usually have their hair folded in wraps to keep it clean.
