Main Characteristics
Masked Palm Civets have a body length between 41 and 73 cms (16 - 28 inches) a tail length between 39 and 56 cms (15 - 22 inches) and they weigh between 3.6 and 6 kgs (7.9 - 13.2 lbs).
They are brown or greyish in colour and they have a black and white striped face. They are active at night, arboreal and solitary.
Habitat
Masked Palm Civets can be found in areas of forests and brush in south and south east Asia. They are the most widespread species of civet.
Diet
Masked Palm Civets mainly feed on fruits but they will also eat rodents, birds, insects and some other vegetation.
Breeding
Masked Palm Civets can produce up to 2 litters of 1 - 4 young per year.
